Walnut Creek Construction just completed an earthquake retrofit project under our 70 year old home in Walnut Creek.  Working with owner Hugh and his team was a real pleasure.  Not only did they complete the task very well, but in under the estimated time.  Our access space to the crawl space is in the center of our, meaning the workers needed to come in and out of our home for a few days.  They all were extremely respectful and tidy–in every way.  (We especially appreciated their care in not letting our three small wiggly dogs out on our busy street!  Bonus Points!)  It was a very pleasant experience all the way around and we have already contacted them for our next job!  Love Hugh and his team at Walnut Creek Construction!

I called Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling to come out and give me an estimate to replace my rotting deck. I called four companies total. Out of the four, Hugh from Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling was on time for the meeting and emailed me my estimate the very next day. The next contractor was on time but took almost two weeks to get back to me. His bid was very competitive with Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling. I had several questions via email. Hugh was always very responsive and got right back to me right away. The other company took several days and a couple times just didnt bother to get back to me. The other two contractors – one never showed up and the other showed up late but never sent us a bid. Hugh did a wonderful job on our Trex Deck. We are very happy with the product and the communication throughout.

I simply wanted a door installed between my garage and dwelling. Hugh educated me on the permit process and fire door rating requirements and got the project done quicker than his quoted timeframe. Going to have his team look at a major deck overhaul next.

I needed to renovate my bathroom. The floor around the tub had dry rot and the bathroom had not been remodeled in 30 years. I called Hugh from Walnut Creek Construction and Remodel and was very impressed. He got our estimatee back. We right back to us. We signeda contract and started the process of planning my bathroom. Hugh kept calling it “our” which I found funny and comforting. The project turned out wonderful. Hugh kept me in the loop the entire time and he dealt with the problems that arose in a very calm manner. I am going to have Hugh install a deck this summer as our current deck has run its course. We bought a home in Alamo and the inspection report said that the existing redwooddeck had extensive dry rot and termite damage. Hugh from Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling came out. His estimate was right in range and timely. We ended up having Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling do our project which was a large redwood deck. They did a great job. The took careful care not to harm any of my roses or lawn which I am very particular about. We were very happy with Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling and will definately use them in the future.

My bathroom window at my home in Moraga was leaking so we decided to replace the window along with 5 other windows and one sliding glass door on that side. I interviewed several contractors and ended up using Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling for several reasons. First of all, they were on time to both of our meeting. They got right back to me wth my questions and they furnished me with a timely very professional contract. They did a great job integrating the siding around the windows. I have worked with alot of contractors and was very impressed with Hugh from Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling. He was very easy to talk to, punctual and very informative and professional. We had Walnut Creek Construction and Remodeling do three projects at our home in Lafayette. We had rot in our bathroom and exterior deck as well as our wood retaining walls. I was really stressed out about the posibility of extensive rot in the bathroom. Hugh told me that in his experience he thought the rot would not be that bad. He found a little bit of rot and was more then fair to fix it. All three projects turned out perfect.
